People in many towns of Punjab today woke up to a foggy morning as minimum temperatures dipped over the past few days.

Fog descended in the interiors of city, reducing visibility and affecting road traffic.

Fog also reduced visibility early today at some other towns, including Adampur, Pathankot, Ludhiana and Moga.
The minimum temperatures at many places in Punjab and neighbouring Haryana have dipped by a few notches below normal, the MeT department said.
Amritsar recorded a low of around 5 degrees celsius, down three notches while Ludhiana and Patiala recorded respective lows of 8 degrees celsius each. Chandigarh registered a low of 9 degrees celsius.
Hisar and Bhiwani in Haryana recorded identical lows of 5 degrees celsius each.
