Mayor inaugurates first floor of Manimajra community centre

When it came to taking credit, mayor Raj Bala Malik was first to shoot off her mouth, but her eagerness to draw acclaim was dashed when she read out proposals as her achievements.

City mayor Raj Bala Malik inaugurated the newly renovated building of the first floor of Community Centre, Pocket No. 7, Manimajra, on Thursday.

Area councillor Gurcharan Dass Kala was also present on the occasion. The first floor with an area of 5,895 sq ft consists of one big hall, library hall, storeroom, open terrace, lobby, toilet blocks for men and women. The floor was constructed at a cost of Rs 40.6 lakh, including bridges and roads, public health and electrical works etc.
