Militant hideout busted in Kishtwar

Security forces have busted a militant hideout and seized arms and ammunition in Kishtwar district of Jammu and Kashmir. The seizures included one .12-bore rifle, a local-made rifle, 2 UBGL grenades, one Chinese grenade, 15 rounds of ammunition and one combat pouch, an Army official said.

A joint column of Rashtriya Rifles launched a search operation in Balara area of Kishtwar on Sunday and busted the natural cave-type hideout, Army said.

The seizures included one .12-bore rifle, a local-made rifle, 2 UBGL grenades, one Chinese grenade, 15 rounds of ammunition and one combat pouch, an Army official said.

One IED in a container along with detonator and three metres of wire were also seized in the raid.
