The People's Party of Punjab (PPP)-led Sanjha Morcha, including Left parties and the Shiromani Akali Dal (Longowal), on Thursday announced to contest the Dasuya assembly byelection on July 11.

The morcha suffered a debacle in the January 30 assembly elections and also came a cropper in the recent municipal corporation elections in the state.

The morcha, which held a meeting at the residence of SAD (Longowal) patron Surjit Singh Barnala here, would announce its candidate soon, a PPP spokesman said here.
