Murder charges framed against Manimajra resident
A local court on Tuesday framed murder charges against a Manimajra resident facing a trial for stabbing a 35-year-old man. The UT police had on March 21 arrested Lakhmir Singh, 29, under charges of killing a Shanti Nagar resident Parmod Dhiman.

Chandigarh: A local court on Tuesday framed murder charges against a Manimajra resident facing a trial for stabbing a 35-year-old man.
The UT police had on March 21 arrested Lakhmir Singh, 29, under charges of killing a Shanti Nagar resident Parmod Dhiman.
Dhiman's body was recovered on March 20 at Shivalik Park, Manimajra.
The police claimed that the deceased had a fight with Lakhmir a few days back over an issue of the latter having relations with a girl. For the same reason, Dhiman had also beaten Lakhmir at Ruhani Satsang Kendra and threatened him with dire consequences if he meets the girl in future.
According to the police, Lakhmir took Dhiman to Shivalik Garden adjacent to Shanti Nagar at Manimajra and stabbed him on March 19.
