The Nangal Block Congress Committee president Paramjit Singh Pamma released a list of as many as 62 new office bearers of the block Congress committee during a meeting of the party here on Saturday.
Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee (PPCC) secretary Gurwinder Singh Bali and observer for Nangal block, Gurbir Singh Gajpur, distributed the appointment letters to the office bearers.
They urged them to work tirelessly to strengthening the party in the block. The leaders owing allegiance to former chief minister Capt Amarinder Singh did not attend the meeting.
Block president Paramjit Singh Pamma said that no one was above the party and all workers should understand that dissidents had no place in party.
He said that only dedicated workers would be given the party tickets in the ensuing municipal council (MC) elections in Nangal.
