Senior NCP leader Thakur Randhir Singh on Wednesday accused the successive central and state governments of ignoring residents of the border areas in Jammu and Kashmir.

"It is very sad that successive central and state governments, particularly the political class and the bureaucrats, have forsaken the brave people of border areas of Jammu and Kashmir. Most of them are refugees," he said.

Border residents who were facing bullets from the Pakistan side have also been ignored by their own governments, the former state minister said.

The NCP is waiting to see how Prime Minister Narendra Modi responds to the killing of innocent civilians by the Pakistani army, he said.
