Romanian playwright Eugene Iensco once said, "A writer never has a vacation. Either he/she writes or thinks about writing." It's true that a writer's mind keeps revolving around emotions and feelings. The writer lives in his/her own little world. Don't get taken in by the ease with which famous writers pen their thoughts and emotions. The struggle is inevitable, and cathartic.
The writer needs to key in or pen his/her thoughts. The urge is difficult to control. Try going on a typing fast to see how long you can survive without keying in something (even as ridiculous as a hi message to yourself). I did but could not cross a day. For the countless hours I did not type, my fingers kept itching to tap the keyboard. I could not take it anymore and finally had to break the fast (remember being dramatic in every situation is also an occupational hazard that writers suffer from). When I finally went back to my Mac, the sound of the click as the fingers touched the soft keypad came as a relief! All you writers out there, try it sometime, you will know what I mean.
Another thing about a writing something is that you have to, just have to know in detail of what the other person feels and you start analysing things. You might not agree with it or you might try to disagree as much as you want but somewhere or the other, you end up putting yourself in that person's shoes. There is no running away.

{{/usCountry}}Writing for a writer is not just a job or some synonym for a job. It is a feeling of satisfaction that you get once you write something and pretend it to be true.
Also, if you are a writer, you never grow up and are always a child. You are in your own little world of pretence and if you are good at it, you get paid to live in that pretence world. Unfortunately, for some of us right now, we are not that lucky and are only expected to behave properly. I hate this discrimination where if you are famous, whatever you do is cool and for the rest of us it is inappropriate.
No matter what the occupational hazard, you ought to say "hats off" to yourself for being a writer is not an easy job. Contrary to popular belief, it requires a lot of effort. No, it is not always about vocabulary, cohesion or heavy jargon, but about how you make the reader feel. Your words are the food for the reader's imagination. The better the preparation, the better the imagination and better the outcome.
