This statement is illustrated in all the 118 aesthetic visual art works that are on display at Shobha Singh Art Gallery, Punjab Kala Bhawan, Sector 16, as a part of the annual multi-artist art exhibition organised by the Chandigarh Lalit Kala Akademi, which was inaugurated on Saturday.

An initiative of the Akademi’s chairperson, Diwan Manna and his team, it is aimed at the promotion of fine arts among the masses and for projecting the works of tricty’s established art icons and student artists on one platform.

At the very outset, the exhibition reflects the panoramic art scene in the region, with many young artists’ participation whose works vie with one another for recognition and appreciation. Manna has put up over a dozen photographs of buildings designed by Le Corbusier and Rock Garden, an iconic city landmark created by Nek Chand.

The chief guest for the evening, KK Sharma, advisor to administrator, UT, offered his comments and appreciation for the creators of each work of craftsmanship.

The exhibition is on till January 24.
