The Punjab government on Thursday transferred one IPS and four PPS officers with immediate effect. Indian Police Service (IPS) officer Kuldeep Chahal has been appointed superintendent of police (SP), security, traffic and operations, Bathinda.

The PPS officers with fresh portfolios are Des Raj (AIG investigation, crime), Amrik Singh (SP, headquarters, Kapurthala), Satpal Singh Bhangu (SP, detective), Moga, and Rajeshwar Singh (SP, headquarters, Nawanshahr).
