A week-long orientation programme was inaugurated at University Institute of Engineering and Technology (UIET) on Wednesday. Professor of psychology at Punjab University Vidhu Mohan will preside over the event.
Mohan, chief guest of the event, said, “This is your time to prove your capabilities and show everyone what India is rich of.”
Guest of Honour, Professor SK Chadha of University Business School (UBS), who was even appointed as Director of PU’s placement cell in 2011 was also energetic to see the new young minds sitting in the auditorium and interacted with them.
Director Renu Vig interacted with the students and parents by highlighting the achievements of the college.
She laid emphasis on quality education necessary to produce skilled and efficient engineers for the progress of the country.
In the orientation program, fresher’s and their parents were given a brief profile of the college and also were explained regarding the pre-requisites, amenities and other facilities of the premises.
