In a meeting on Tuesday, the two bodies decided to submit a representation in this regard to vice-chancellor AK Grover and the board of finance.

The student bodies also demanded that the university consult them while making decisions related to student welfare.

The associations also demanded withdrawal of cases against students as promised earlier. Nine students were booked during the protest against the fee hike in March this year.

University authorities had then promised to withdraw the cases, but had failed to do so.
