Taking strong note of anti-party activities, Punjab BJP has expelled 10 party leaders for contesting as Independents against official candidates in municipal corporation elections.

Those expelled by Punjab BJP president Ashwani Sharma are Vipul Mehra of ward number 8 in Amritsar, Nitu Mahajan and Pappu Mahajan (9), Arun Puppal(46), Manju Puppal (47), Naresh Kaka(49), Manjinder Kaur (54), Gurpreet Singh Mintoo (55), Karnail Singh Kalli (57)and Ashwani Bawa (65).

Also expelled was Amar Chand Dabbi of Ward number 34 of Patiala municipal corporation.
Sharma has further warned that any BJP worker campaigning against the party contestants would also be expelled from the party.
