Spunky, vivacious, live wire - these are some words that describe city girl Khushboo Kochchar Grewal, who has been fortunate to have bagged roles on screen that exhibit her zest and energy.
Now based in Mumbai, Khushboo was in city recently to promote her latest venture, Punjabi film Carry On Jatta. The actor is blessed with the gift of the gab and has been a successful television anchor for many years now.
Happy with the response that her film is getting, Khushboo says, "I am so happy that it is doing well not only in India but abroad too. In this film, I play the second lead paired opposite Gurpreet Ghuggi.
The film is a madcap laugh riot where the film's hero Gippy (Grewal) tells a lie and we all keep telling multiple lies after that to hide his first lie.
The supporting cast includes the who's who of Punjabi cinema. I really enjoyed working with BN Sharma, Rana Ranbir and Jaswinder Bhalla."
Khushboo had earlier done a cameo in the 2009 Punjabi film, Munde UK De, in which she played an eye-candy role of a bubbly NRI. Nods she, "I bagged that film when one of my colleagues from the music channel, B4U, on which I anchored shows, recommended my name to Manmohan ji (director Manmohan Singh). He cast me right after meeting me." The girl beams and adds that she also got to do a 'nice item song'.
