The Punjab government on Wednesday announced a ban on transfers and fresh postings in all its departments with immediate effect.
The instructions have been issued to all financial commissioners, administrative secretaries, heads of departments, commissioners of divisions, deputy commissioners and sub-divisional officers (civil) for compliance, a spokesman here said.
