An official spokesperson said here today that the rate of family pension in respect of a government employee, who dies in harness during the first fifteen years from the date of death or till the employee would have attained the age of sixty five had he survived, whichever period is less, would be 60 per cent for the employees drawing pay up to Rs 10,000 while for employees drawing pay above Rs 10,000, it would be 50 per cent of pay subject to minimum of Rs 6000.
