Punjab will host the 'Progressive Punjab Agriculture Summit 2014' from February 16 to 19 at Chappar Chiri in SAS Nagar district.

Chief minister Parkash Singh Badal held a review meeting here on Thursday to chalk out the plans for the summit, during which the state would showcase its potential to investors, a spokesman said here.

The CM stated at the meeting that the main aim of this summit was to find out ways and means to boost the state's agri-economy, elicit maximum participation of renowned agriculturists, agri-experts and progressive farmers from across the globe. Teams from Canada, the US, Holland, Italy, Israel and Taiwan are expected at the summit.
