Punjab to host agri summit from Feb 16

Punjab will host the 'Progressive Punjab Agriculture Summit 2014' from February 16 to 19 at Chappar Chiri in SAS Nagar district. Chief minister Parkash Singh Badal held a review meeting here on Thursday to chalk out the plans for the summit, during which the state would showcase its potential to investors, a spokesman said here.

Chief minister Parkash Singh Badal held a review meeting here on Thursday to chalk out the plans for the summit, during which the state would showcase its potential to investors, a spokesman said here.

The CM stated at the meeting that the main aim of this summit was to find out ways and means to boost the state's agri-economy, elicit maximum participation of renowned agriculturists, agri-experts and progressive farmers from across the globe. Teams from Canada, the US, Holland, Italy, Israel and Taiwan are expected at the summit.
