Punjabi-origin Grace Walia was crowned Miss India Indonesia 2015, a pageant that seeks to build a bridge between the Indian and Indonesian communities. India’s ambassador to Indonesia Gurjit Singh was the chief guest on the occasion.

As Miss India Indonesia, Grace will represent Indonesia in Miss India Worldwide 2015 to be held in India in summer. The first runner-up was Vandana Nanwani and the third spot was bagged by Gurmichele Kaur, a statement read.
The beauty pageant, held on January 30, is part of the Sahabat India-Festival. Twenty contestants competed for the crown.
