The police and PGIMS, Rohtak, are at loggerheads on conducting the forensic examination of the five girls who were allegedly sexually abused at a Rohtak shelter home owned by Jaswanti Devi.
The police have been claiming that they wrote a letter, requesting the forensic examination of the five girls, to the authorities at the Postgraduate Institute of Medical Sciences (PGIMS) immediately following the raid. PGIMS authorities, however, have been saying that they did not receive the letter from the police.
The shelter home was raided 10-days ago. The tests, however, are still pending with the administration taking the matter lightly.
On being asked, PGIMS medical superintendent Dr Ashok Chauhan said they had not received the letter yet. He asked this correspondent to contact the police to verify the police claims on the letter.
Inspector general of police Alok Mittal, meanwhile, said a letter had been written to the PGIMS authorities to conduct the forensic test of the girls.

{{/usCountry}}After the surprise raid by National Commission for Protection of Child Rights (NCPCR) on May 10, the police had sent five girls to PGIMS for a forensic examination on a request of the civil surgeon to confirm the sexual abuse of the girls.
Apart from these five girls, a report confirmed the possibility of another minor girl being subjected to sexual intercourse. She also had injury marks on her body.
