Rs 28 lakh to be spent for construction of panchayat bhavans: Minister

Panchayati raj minister Anil Sharma, who was here to inaugurate the newly-constructed panchayat bhavan at Ratocha area of the district on Monday, said `28 lakh would be spent for the construction of new panchayat bhawans, which would help the authorities to execute their wok comfortably for the benefit of the villagers.

Panchayati raj minister Anil Sharma, who was here to inaugurate the newly-constructed panchayat bhavan at Ratocha area of the district on Monday, said `28 lakh would be spent for the construction of new panchayat bhawans, which would help the authorities to execute their wok comfortably for the benefit of the villagers.

Addressing the public here, he said the state government was doing its best to strengthen the panchayati raj institutions, which was the prime source of the government to deliver its services efficiently for the benefit of the people at grass-root level, and 112 panchayat bhavans were under construction across the state.

According to Sharma the state government was mulling over to recruit data entry operators in all 3,243gram panchayats, which might reduce the work load of the panchayat workers.

He also said the on the occasion of Mahatma Gandhi's birthday, a special sanitation campaign would be initiated across the state.
