Sambar strays into city, rescued

A Sambar strayed into a park in Sector 12 in Panchkula and finally got caught in Sector 4 on Tuesday. It was spotted in the morning, following which a team led by inspector Jaiveer of the wildlife department reached the spot and tried to administer tranqulisers to it.

It was spotted in the morning, following which a team led by inspector Jaiveer of the wildlife department reached the spot and tried to administer tranqulisers to it.

Though the Sambar managed to flee from the spot, it eventually fell into a pit of water and suffered some injuries. Following this, wildlife officials rescued the Sambar and released it in the Morni forest.
