SC panel upset at remarks against Guru Ravidass

The Punjab Scheduled Castes Commission has taken a strong note of "derogatory and malicious remarks" against Guru Ravidass in a programme telecast on a private TV channel. The commission has sought a detailed report in this regard from the state's ADGP (crime) within 15 days.

The Punjab Scheduled Castes Commission has taken a strong note of "derogatory and malicious remarks" against Guru Ravidass in a programme telecast on a private TV channel. The commission has sought a detailed report in this regard from the state's ADGP (crime) within 15 days.

The commission's chairman, Rajesh Bagha, said here on Wednesday that the remarks had hurt religious sentiments of the people. He said those responsible for committing such a heinous mistake must be brought to book so that no one could disrupt social and religious harmony.
