Seven students suspended for ragging in Haryana University

The Deenbadhu Chhotu Ram University of Science and Technology, (DCRUST) suspended seven students on ragging charges on the premises at Murthal village in Sonepat district on Tuesday.

The Deenbadhu Chhotu Ram University of Science and Technology, (DCRUST) suspended seven students on ragging charges on the premises at Murthal village in Sonepat district on Tuesday.

Two students Anil Kumar, pursuing MBA, and Prashant Kumar from Biotechnology department filed a complaint with vice chancellor of DCRUST alleging some senior students of beating them up with a leather belts on the pretext of ragging.

The medical examination, at civil hospital, reports, showed injury marks on their body.

A senior official of varsity told media persons "Seven students, who were alleged engaged in ragging have been suspended for the time being, and further action would be taken after completion of inquiry into the said case".
