SIT to probe abuse by cops

Addressing mediapersons on Wednesday, Haryana DGP Ranjiv Singh Dalal said the special investigating team (SIT), headed by additional DGP (law and order) Mohinder Singh Mann, would also look at the charges of sexual exploitation of inmates by police persons, in addition to other allegations.

So far the Rohtak police had been investigating the case.

The fresh allegations were made by inmates before a committee constituted by the Punjab and Haryana high court for inspecting shelter homes across the state.
