The DAV College, Sector 10, has recently upgraded its existing shooting range with two electronic targets worth `4.5 lakh. Apart from latest Swissmade electronic targets, the college has SCATT Shooter Training System along with bio-neuro feedback systems, which help the shooters in measuring their stress and concentration level.

The college can now boast of having one of the best shooting facilities in the region, and as far as colleges across the country is concerned, it can be counted among the best.

Last year, the Union Grants Commission (UGC) had approved `10.52 lakh for the project on psychological skills training programme for rifle and pistol shooters on the representation of the college teaching staffs, Amanendra Mann (associate professor) and Shruti Shourie (assistant professor).

The project is playing a vital role in helping the shooters by providing them psychological support, which has become an essential part of the training since the sport has become more competitive and the margin for error in some of the events, like air rifle, has come down to fractions.

Anjum Moudgil, a college student, is currently representing the country in Munich world cup.
