The Akhil Bhartiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) and Students' Federation of India (SFI) jointly protested outside vice chancellor's office and wore black badges to protest against Rahul's visit.

"The environment of the varsity was being spoilt due to Congress rallies" said ABVP general secretary Dinesh, adding that the university had been turned into an akhara of politics.

He questioned "What was the use of this event, when no students were allowed to ask questions on the recent scams like CWG, 2G, and Robert Vadra's controversy".

Dinesh said Rahul was allowed to hold a political event in the university under the pressure of the centre government as others are not permitted by PU.

The other protesting students alleged that the common students were not allowed to enter inside the hall where Rahul was addressing the gathering. The ABVP members were denied entry too students added students.

SFI's member Loveneet said the studies of students had suffered due to the event as in the whole campus police cavalcade can be seen roaming.
