The film by Vibgyor Creations will hit theatres in October this year, about which the Jalandhar boy is evidently excited. As he gets talking about his entry in the world of modelling and subsequently films, one can't help and agree when he says luck favoured him all along.

About the film, 26-year-old Sangram shares, "Directed by Gurbir Singh Grewal (who also directed Punjabi film Mannat), this film focusses on how youngsters help Punjabis regain their glory. I play Sikander Singh Sekhon, a responsible man who fights against the exploitation of Punjabis in Canada, and helps uncovering a drug mafia gang and other issues such as flesh trade."

'Saadi Wakhri Hai Shaan' is a trendsetter as well, reveals Sangram. "This is the first Punjabi movie which is not dubbed. We had lapel mikes attached all the time, and recorded our dialogues on the spot. It is a big thing, considering how tough it is for actors to shoot scenes time and again if there is some sound interruption," he elaborates.

Also, Mandy (Takhar, the female lead) and I make a good pair. I feel very comfortable with her since we were good friends even before being cast in the film," Sangram reminisces.

Son of an industrialist, Sangram says luck always played an important role in his professional life, preventing him from struggling much.

Recalling his blessed beginning, he says, "I never thought of being in this industry. It was only a thought provoked by my friends, who egged me to try my hand at modelling and go to Delhi. The first ad agency that I contacted gave me call after half an hour of interviewing me."

Earlier, Sangram has also walked the ramp for ace fashion designers such as JJ Valaya, Manish Malhotra, Rahul Khanna and Raghavendra Rathore, and also did print ads and commercials.

Next, he will be seen in another Punjabi film called Nikamme, also starring Karan Kundra and Harpal Singh, Sangram's co-actors in Pure Punjabi. Though Sangram will set the ramp on fire in August when he walks for Manish Malhotra at Delhi Couture Week, the young actor is keeping his fingers crossed for 'Saadi Wakhri Hai Shaan' and hopes it brings glory to his career.
