The Bedi tag, however, doesn't dominate her personality in anyway. "I haven't officially changed my surname to Bedi as yet. It's only of late that I have started post-fixing my name with the surname," says Nisha, who is in town to choreograph the annual passing out fashion show, INIFD Designer Medley '12, at Inter National Institute of Fashion Design, Sector 8.

Tracing her life story, she says, "After becoming Miss Mumbai in 1996, I took up modelling and did various shows for designers. I also did consecutive cover shoots for five health magazines. But then I got bored of modelling and decided to take up the job of a cabin crew attendant in 2001 - only because I wanted to travel the world. Two years later, I decided to go on a different path altogether. In 2003, I quit my job and went on to sing, doing songs with artistes such as Ishq Bector."

Nisha has been a ramp choreographer for showstoppers such as Shahid Kapur, Mugdha Godse, Jiah Khan, Tulip Joshi, Aanchal Kumar, Deepti Gujral, Pooja Chopra, Shawar Ali and Shefali Zariwala.

Currently, she is actively involved in Save Mumbai's Nightlife campaign, along with Bollywood celebrity Deepika Padukone.

"Supporting the cause is about availing our fundamental right. It's about letting everyone know that drugs and alcohol have nothing to do with nightlife," she concludes, firmly.
