Trainee sailor commits suicide on INS Agrani campus

A trainee sailor in the INS Agrani today allegedly committed suicide by hanging on the campus here, police said.

A trainee sailor from Patiala allegedly committed suicide by hanging on the INS Agrani campus here, police said.

Gurvinder Singh, 24, arrived here 10 days ago to undergo training for three weeks.A purported suicide note recovered from the spot stated that nobody was responsible for his death and he was taking the extreme step due to work pressure. He also requested that his eyes be donated, as his last wish.

The body was found by other trainee sailors in a shed, and was taken to the Government Hospital for autopsy. A case was registered.
