Vaishnodevi pilgrim dies of heart attack

A pilgrim who was headed to the hillshrine of Vaishnodevi in Jammu and Kashmir died of a heart attack at the Katra base camp, police said on Sunday.

A pilgrim who was headed to the hillshrine of Vaishnodevi in Jammu and Kashmir died of a heart attack at the Katra base camp, police said on Sunday.

According to police, Ashok Paba of Uttar Pradesh suffered a heart attack last evening following which he was taken to a hospital where doctors declared him dead.

The body has been handed to the deceased's family members after completion of all formalities, police added.
