A woman from Sunariya Kalan village of Rohtak district was arrested on Friday for forcing her 14-year-old daughter to have physical relations with a 36-year-old man from the same village.
The man, identified as Sunil, has also been arrested on the charge of rape.
The police said Geeta (34), who has been booked for criminal conspiracy, had first sent her daughter to the fields on August 15 on the pretext of delivering food to Sunil. When the minor went to him, he sexually abused her. Geeta again forcibly sent her to Sunil on August 24 and threatened to kill her if she revealed the incident to anyone. Thereafter, Sunil kept on visiting the victim's house.
The matter came to the fore when the girl ran away from home 15 days ago, reached her aunt's house in Panipat and disclosed the matter to her.
Her aunt took her to the Panipat SP's office, from where the case was referred to Rohtak SP Vivek Sharma.
Talking to HT, Sharma said Gita, despite being aware of Sunil's intentions, sent her daughter to him twice and even threatened to kill her if she opened her mouth.

{{/usCountry}}"After getting a letter from the Panipat SP's office in this regard on October 25, we sent a woman officer to bring the girl to Rohtak. The victim's complaint was primarily directed against her mother," he said.
The girl, whose father had died in an accident four year ago, is staying with her aunt.
