Young and old hearts melt on social media to express Khushwant Singh’s demise

The leading and the most celebrated author and a journalist Khushwant Singh is no more! Within minutes the news of his last breath spread even faster than the fire which turned every face more than sad and gloomy.

The leading and the most celebrated author and a journalist Khushwant Singh is no more! Within minutes the news of his last breath spread even faster than the fire which turned every face more than sad and gloomy. Not just the leading dailies and various news channels are busy rolling out the unfortunate news and throwing light on his zestful life but many young and old have restored to social media to share their sadness and eulogize his rich contributions to the world of literature.

From posting his pictures to throwing light on his contributions and various virtues as a writer, the social media too has got highly flooded. HT throws light on some of the inspiring examples from social media out of many touching instances.

Preet Amol Singh, a young student from Patiala and an active member of facebook has not only shared Singh’s pictures but has also shared his letters on Khushwant Singh’s writing styles that got published in various newspapers. All his letters eulogize the various inspiring writing styles of Singh. Interestingly in one of the letters penned by him it also states that columns and books of Singh inspired him to adopt writing as a hobby. Truly, like him many young and the old have got inspired towards writing because of Singh and many will continue to get inspired.

The Young Writers Association (YWA) of Punjab Agricultural University (PAU) which has more than 150 members and considered him like an idol have shared that they will ensure to keep him alive by reading his books and all his columns that appeared in different newspapers and hope newspapers to repeat his columns on his every birth and death anniversaries.

On twitter too, many including bollywood celebrities have thanked him for his passion and high spirits in writing who all maintain that world will never forget him.
