A police inspector from Bengaluru landed in trouble for allegedly flirting and harassing a complainant who came to the station, reported The Times of India. An inquiry has been ordered on the conduct of the inspector and he was directed to go on a leave.
According to the report, the woman had approached the inspector at Kodigehalli police station to file a complaint regarding a cheating case. The inspector took the complaint where she said that she was duped with Rs. 15 lakh from a businessman and urged for an action against him. The cop also took the personal mobile number of the complainant and started texting her. He also asked her to meet him personally to proceed in the case and gave her a pack of dry fruits along with a key card of the hotel room. The woman then approached a senior level officer to expose the behavior of the police inspector.

The inspector even reportedly tried to convince the woman not to complain against him but his attempts did not go successful. “I was shocked to see the items in the gift box, and I immediately denied them. Later, I left the station,” the woman told the publication.
Laxmi Prasad, deputy commissioner of police, Bengaluru (north east) has directed the jurisdictional ACP to submit a report on the conduct of the inspector.
