125 years of Kasauli Club: Games, qawwalis lend fourth day celebrations a quaint charm

Games, gazals, and qawwalis lent the second day of the week-long 125th anniversary celebrations at the heritage Kasauli Club a quaint charm on Monday.
At the start of the day, around 35 women polished their makeup skills and learnt nail art during workshops organised by a Chandigarh-based saloon.
The evening saw around 75 people try their luck at a spirited game of tambola. As the evening spread across the sky, world-renowned qawwal, Anwar Khan of Malerkotla, sent the audience into a trance through his soulful qawwalis and ghazals.
The third day of the celebrations will see distinguished personalities including former chief of naval staff admiral Sunil Lanba, Centre for Air Power Studies director-general air marshal Anil Chopra (retd), former Eastern Command general officer-commanding-in-chief Praveen Bakshi, former foreign secretary of India Shyam Saran and Jawaharlal Nehru University professor Srikanth Kondapalli hold strategic seminars on maritime, China’s air power, Indo-Chinese relationship, and Indo-Pacific challenges.
A mentalist and stand-up comedian Parwinder Singh will entertain the audience in the evening.
