Bhiwani: Patwari held taking 10k bribe

A patwari posted at the Bawani Khera revenue department in Bhiwani district was arrested by the State Vigilance and Anti-Corruption Bureau (SVACB) on Thursday for allegedly accepting a 10,000 bribe from a farmer in exchange for processing compensation related to crop damage.

Officials said a case has been registered under the provisions of the Prevention of Corruption Act, and further investigation is underway.

The SVACB laid a trap and caught the patwari red-handed while accepting the bribe amount> he was taken into custody. Officials said a case has been registered under the provisions of the Prevention of Corruption Act, and further investigation is underway.
