Burglars broke into a locked house in Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar on Pakhowal Road and decamped with valuables, including three LPG cylinders, police said on Monday.

According to police, the house owner, Abhishek Bhagat, works in Mumbai and his mother was also visiting him when the robbery took place in their Ludhiana house last week.
“CCTV footage shows two men entering the house late on March 19. The accused cut the balcony grill and entered the house and decamped with valuables. The stolen items include three LPG cylinders, silver coins, idols, brass utensils, branded watches, an LCD television and important bank documents. The accused also took water taps, silver glasses and clothes from the house,” said head constable Baljeet Kumar, who is investigating the case.
“An FIR has been registered against unidentified persons under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) has been registered. CCTV footage from nearby areas is being examined to identify the accused. They would be nabbed soon,” he added.
