Chandigarh Golf Club goes to polls today

All eyes will be on the Chandigarh Golf Club on Sunday as nearly 1,800 members vote to pick the club’s governing council and president. Two army veterans – Major Rajinder Singh Virk (retd), 57, and Capt Mohanbir Singh (retd), 62, are vying for the president’s post.

Capt Virk’s panel has Dr SPS Grewal, Sandy Lehal, Gags Aulakh, Alamgir Grewal, Dr Atul Sachdev, Brig TS Mundi (retd), Shona Singh, Munish Arora, Harjit Singh, Dr GS Kochhar and Jassi Toor.

Voting will start at 11 am and come to a close at 4.30 pm. The results will be declared on January 26.
