Chandigarh Housing Board evicts defaulters from 10 small flats in Dhanas

An eviction drive was carried out on Monday in the Small Flats area of Dhanas, Chandigarh, to clear unauthorised occupants from dwelling units that had been cancelled due to non-payment of dues.

During the drive, the Chandigarh Housing Board (CHB) vacated 10 houses—bearing House Nos. 1062-A, 923, 619-C, 735, 456, 1577, 1298, 1496-A, 1908-A and 1841-B. Officials said the action was taken after repeated notices to the defaulters failed to yield results. The CHB has also initiated steps to recover the outstanding dues, which will be realised as arrears of land revenue, as per rules.
