Five separate cases of cheating and visa fraud amounting to ₹56.93 lakh have been registered against visa companies in Sector 17, police said on Wednesday.
One of the complainants from Kurukshetra, Balbir Singh, alleged that Mandeep, Gagandeep, Navdeep, Gurleen and Karamvir of Visa Support Services Pvt Ltd, Sector 17, cheated him of ₹9.46 lakh on the pretext of arranging a visa.
Another complainant Ashwani Kumar of Kaithal, Haryana, alleged that officials of Fly Out Immigration, Sector 17, duped him of ₹23.9 lakh for visa processing.
Sarvjit Singh of Una, Himachal Pradesh, in his complaint alleged that Visa Vibes Immigration in Sector 17 cheated him of ₹6.77 lakh on the pretext of visa services. In another complaint, Ankush Panchal of Karnal, Haryana, also accused Visa Vibes Immigration for cheating him of ₹7.75 lakh regarding visa processing.
A complaint from Jalandhar, Nirmal Singh, alleged that Asian Manpower Employment Services, Sector 17, cheated him of ₹9.05 lakh on the pretext of arranging a visa. Police said that FIRs have been registered against multiple individuals and all the accused are yet to be arrested.
