Punjab chief minister Bhagwant Mann on Wednesday called upon every eligible voter in the state to immediately complete the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) process, asserting that participation is essential to safeguard the constitutional right to vote and ensure continued access to government welfare schemes, including the 1,000 per month benefit under the Mawan Dheeyan Satkar Yojana.

The CM said only those whose names are included in the new voter list after submitting the SIR form will be able to exercise their franchise and avail the benefits of government schemes. Assuring full support to the people, the CM said anyone facing difficulty in filling the SIR form should seek assistance from local Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) volunteers.

“It is important for every eligible voter to fill out the SIR form so that your name is included in the new electoral roll. If your name does not appear in the voter list, you will not be able to exercise your democratic right to vote. I urge every Punjabi to complete this process on time and protect this invaluable right,” Mann said in a video message.

Congratulating women of Punjab on the launch of Mawan Dheeyan Satkar Yojana, Mann said that the state government has fulfilled another major promise made to the people.
