The jail administrations in Yamunanagar and Gurugram on Friday said that they recovered small quantities of drugs from one convict each, who returned to the jail after completing their parole.
Officials said that during a routine search of an inmate in Yamunanagar, who had returned to the jail after completing a 10-week parole period, two small packets of the contraband was found concealed inside the elastic stitching of the track-suit lower worn by him.
The convicted inmate was identified as Shaherukh, 22, a native of Jagadhri town of Yamunanagar, who is undergoing a sentence of 20-year imprisonment under the POCSO Act.
During interrogation, the inmate disclosed that he procured the drug from Jabbal, a resident of Faizpur in Pratap Nagar of Yamunanagar.
He further revealed that the said narcotic substance was meant to be handed over to another inmate and Jabbal’s fellow villager Naushad, who is serving a life sentence in a murder case.
The total weight of the recovered narcotic substance was found to be 0.26 grams.

{{/usCountry}}Similarly in Gurugram, the inmate identified as Rahul Rohilla, 35, also returned after a ten-week parole.
Rohilla, a convict in a murder case and undergoing life imprisonment, was found with sulfonamide (sulfa) in his sandal, which was to be delivered to another inmate Jonny Hans.
On the complaint of the concerned jail administrations, cases were registered in both the districts.
