Fire engulfs salon in Panchkula’s Sector 5

Panchkula A major fire engulfed a salon in Mansa Devi Complex (MDC), Sector 5, on Thursday morning. The fire station of the area received the call at 10.28 am, following which two firemen reached the spot.

Leading fireman Narinder Singh, along with fire operators Anik Kumar and Deepak Kumar, brought the fire under control within an hour.

The salon was located on the first floor of a showroom. As per available information, goods worth approximately ₹4 lakh were destroyed in the fire. The damaged items included an air-conditioner, furniture and other glass items. The cause of the fire was not ascertained till late evening.
