Haryana deputy chief minister Dushyant Chautala on Sunday asserted that few people are trying to divide society on communal lines in Nuh district, but his party will work to unite society and foster brotherhood in the Muslim-dominated region.
Addressing a gathering at Hisar’s grain market to mark Jannayak Janata Party’s student wing Indian National Student Organisation’s 21st foundation day, Dushyant said every worker of his party is standing in solidarity with the people of Nuh and he asked his workers to give a befitting reply to those who are trying to divide society. He gave a new slogan ‘Jai Haryana, Jai Mewat (Nuh)’.
“We want to restore peace and brotherhood in the state. The state will move forward with better relations among people across religious and caste lines,” he added.
The deputy CM said INSO’s role in JJP’s formation can’t be forgotten and INSO workers have contributed a lot in winning 10 assembly seats in the 2019 state polls.
“Our party has always worked for the betterment of students. I ask the INSO workers to show their strength and kick-off a movement to re-start the student body polls in colleges and universities. Our government had fought in the Punjab and Haryana high court and the stay on CET was lifted. Now the students will appear in the exam for class 3 jobs,” he added.

{{/usCountry}}JJP national patriarch Ajay Chautala, who had founded INSO 20 years ago, said they had never used students for political benefits, but gave them a direction to become active in mainstream politics.
“Over the years, many INSO volunteers reached the Haryana assembly and Parliament. Students and INSO workers should continue their fight for the restoration of student body polls in Haryana’s colleges and universities. The rift in the Congress is evident to everyone and they have no future in Haryana,” the JJP patriarch added.
INSO national chief Prdaeep Deswal said he belonged to a poor farmers’ family, but the JJP pitched him in the 2019 Lok Sabha polls from Rohtak against former chief minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda’s son Deepender.
JJP secretary general Digvijay Chautala said BJP leader Birender Singh used to say that ₹100 crore is being paid to become a Member of Parliament but his party gave tickets to youths hailing from poor and marginalised sections on the basis of their hard work and organisational skills.
