Upset over the alleged casteist remarks made by Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee (PPCC) president and Ludhiana MP Amarinder Singh Raja Warring against former MP Buta Singh, Jalandhar Congress Committee’s legal and human rights cell president Gurjit Singh Kahlon tendered his resignation from the post on Monday.

Addressing the press conference in Jalandhar on Monday, Kahlon said, “Warring has hurt sentiments of not only one community but the society on the whole. The statement has dented the image of the Congress party. The language used must be condemned by every party worker.”
