The England Kabaddi Federation also announced to cancel its tournament that was to be held at Anandpur Sahib on March 18 and 19. Even North India Kabaddi Federation will not be organising any big tournament in the coming week.

England federation president Surinder Manak and North India federation president Surjan Singh Chattha, while addressing a press conference in Jalandhar, denied any links between players and gangsters or involvement of drug money in tournaments. They expressed grief at the killing of Sandeep Sandhu and demanded a fair and speedy probe in the matter.

England federation manager Rashpal Singh said that Sandeep was a British citizen, and they will take up the matter with the British high commissioner. They demanded that the Punjab government must ensure proper security at rural tournaments.
