LeT terrorist’s land attached in Reasi

The J&K Police on Saturday attached immovable property of a LeT terrorist in Reasi district, said officials.

“The police on Saturday carried out attachment proceedings against the property of a LeT terrorist in the Mahore subdivision. In connection with FIR registered under relevant sections of the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act, 1967, Arms Act and Explosive Substances Act at Police Station Mahore, a joint team consisting of SDPO Mahore Parul Bhardwaj, Tehsildar Mahore Javid Iqbal and revenue officials conducted a visit to Upper Angralla village and carried out the legal attachment process,” said an official spokesperson.

The property belonged Mohammad Qasim, linked with the banned terrorist outfit Lashkar-e-Taiba, was formally attached under Section 25 of the UAPA.

The action was carried out in the presence of local residents and family members to ensure transparency and adherence to due legal procedure, he said.

The attached property includes land measuring approximately three marlas falling under Khewat Nos. 346, 347, 349, and 350 situated at Angralla village, within the jurisdiction of police station Mahore.
