Ludhiana | ASI’s son held for snatching mobile phone from labourer

The Jivan Nagar police arrested the son of an assistant sub-inspector (ASI) for snatching on March 9, while his accomplice Harkamal Singh of Mundian Kalan was already arrested by the police on March 8.
The accused’s, Kulchhinder Singh of Guru Teg Bahadur Nagar, Mudian Kalan, father ASI Ram Pal is deputed at Ludhiana municipal corporation . According to the police, the accused was involved in the crime to make some easy money.
ASI Surjit Singh Saini, in-charge at Jivan Nagar police post, said a labourer Shiv Shankar had lodged an FIR against the unidentified accused on March 7. He had alleged that motorcycle-borne two miscreants had robbed him of his mobile phone near Khokha market.
After the arrest of Harkamal Singh, following the information provided by him, the police arrested his aide Kulchhinder Singh. The motorcycle used by the accused in the crime has been recovered from Kulchhinder Singh.
