With the city preparing for a major e-bus initiative, Municipal Corporation (MC) commissioner Ojasvi Alankar inspected the ongoing works to establish e-bus depots at Hambran road and Ghoda colony.

The city is expected to receive the delivery of 100 e-buses in the coming time under the PM e-bus Sewa Scheme. E-bus depot for 30 buses is being established at Hambran road and at Ghoda colony, the depot is being established for 70 e-buses.
The aim of the visit was to take stock of the ongoing works and ensure that the projects are completed within stipulated time period.
MC joint commissioner Vineet Kumar, SE Sham Lal Gupta among others were also present during the inspection.
During the inspection at Ghoda colony, directions were also to coordinate with the police department and tehbazaari wing of the civic body for removal of their belongings.
Alankar said that it is a major project to encourage public transport and senior officials have been directed to monitor the progress on a regular basis.
He stated that the concerned officials and the contractor have been directed to speed up the works and there should be no compromise with the quality of works.
