A student of Panjab University sustained injuries after falling from the third floor of a boys’ hostel on the campus on Monday evening, officials confirmed.

The student reportedly fell from the third floor of Boys Hostel Number 6 at Panjab University, following which he suffered a fracture in his leg. (HT)

The student, Naseeb Singh, is enrolled with the university’s Centre for Distance and Online Education (CDOE), they said.

He reportedly fell from the third floor of Boys Hostel Number 6, following which he suffered a fracture in his leg. University officials said the student was not a resident of the hostel and had come to meet friends at the time of the incident. “As per his statement, he slipped and fell from the third floor,” an official said. He was taken to Government Multi-Specialty Hospital, Sector 16, for treatment.
