Governor Gulab Chand Kataria on Sunday visited Khadoor Sahib and lauded the initiatives of Nishan-E-Sikhi Institute run by noted environmentalist Baba Sewa Singh Kar Sewa Wale.

Kataria, who is set to undertake a four-day padyatra (foot march) starting from Shri Guru Arjun Dev School in Tarn Taran on February 9, also paid obeisance at Gurdwara Sri Darbar Sahib, Khadoor Sahib. He was honoured with a siropa by the gurdwara management committee.
The foot march will cover Tarn Taran, Ferozepur and Fazilka border districts will culminate at DAV College in Abohar on February 12.
At Nishan-E-Sikhi Institute, the governor interacted with students undergoing coaching for competitive examinations such as UPSC and JEE, and appreciated their hard work, discipline and dedication towards achieving their goals.
“The institution like Nishan-e-Sikhi Institute plays a vital role in guiding the youth in the right direction and in making Punjab drug-free,” the governor said.
